Some people are very proud to say they’re self-made. But I’m proud to say that I am team-made.
My squad is the main core of The Rolling Media. Without their passion, commitment, and loyalty, I don’t know if I’d be this motivated to keep myself and the company moving forward.
I always say to my friends and in interviews that I’ve opened and closed a lot of businesses in the past but I’ve never thought about it with TRM.
I guess it’s really different when you’re no longer thinking only of yourself, but also your squad members, their families, and their future.
It’s only when you help others that your life starts to have meaning and purpose beyond yourself. Being generous with others gives you a feeling of abundance and endless possibilities.
John Pagulayan, a fantastic CEO and Businessman in his own right said that “A good leader makes a good team, yes. But what people don’t realize is that it’s a good team that makes an exceptional leader.”
And I totally agree with him.
I believe leadership is about people inspiring people to believe in the impossible, to believe in themselves, and to become the very best versions of themselves.
That’s what I always try to do with my squad because that’s what they do for me too. I found the right people who are not only good at what they do but also have their hearts in the right places.
My brother, who is one of my greatest business mentors and my secret investor who never once asked for his shares told me:
“If you want your business to succeed, take care of your people.”
Every single day, I strive hard to do right by my squad because I know that this will inspire them to do right by our clients.
When leadership is driven by service to others, your intrinsic value increases. As a result, your own generosity with others finds its way back to you in the form of an abundance mindset that affects positive changes in all other areas of your life.
Our squad and business, modest as it may be at only 2 years, is wealthy with this love, understanding, and genuine concern that we so generously give each other and our clients.
I couldn’t be more proud.
In this season of my life, I’ve found that happiness comes from other people as much as it comes from material things. The only difference is the former is the kind that lasts a lifetime.
So here’s to the people who push me to be a better leader and better person every single day…

When we were starting out, I had no clue how to actually run a team, much less a business. But look at where we are now. We’ve grown from strangers to squadmates to real friends and family.
Your unconditional faith in me humbles me. I can always count on you guys to give me a hand, advice, and you understand what I am going through, the ups and downs of being in a start-up company.
You fill my life with happiness and love that I never knew could come from running a business and managing a team.
Despite coming from different backgrounds and going through normal bouts of misunderstandings, I know that at the end of each day, we will always have each other’s backs.
We’ve enjoyed so many wins these last two years but what I’m most proud of are the culture and healthy working environment we’ve built. These two never fail to earn praises from others.
I am forever grateful for everything that you have ever done for me, your fellow squadmates, and our company. Because without all of you, I don’t know where TRM would be.
